Caffeine-free and rich in natural compounds, spearmint tea is prized for its cooling, calming, and health-supportive properties, making it a staple in both traditional medicine and modern wellness routines.
History of Spearmint
Spearmint has been used for over 2,000 years, dating back to ancient civilizations such as Greece, Rome, and Egypt. The Greeks used it as a natural remedy for indigestion and to scent bathwater. Roman texts mention spearmint as a symbol of hospitality and refreshment. In traditional Middle Eastern and North African cultures, spearmint has long been used to prepare soothing mint teas served during meals and social gatherings.
It was introduced to North America by early settlers and quickly became a beloved garden herb and herbal remedy. Today, spearmint is celebrated globally for its digestive, hormonal, and aromatic benefits.
